We're walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Grafton!
In May 2025, our brave girl Addy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Overnight, our world changed, but so did our understanding of strength. Addy is 9 years old and full of sparkle, determination and heart. She faces every day with courage, and we couldn’t be prouder of her.
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and around 180 extra health decisions every day.
We're joining the world's largest T1D fundraising event “ONE WALK” for families at the Crown Hotel on 22nd March!
We’re walking as Addy’s Diabuddies to raise funds for research and to remind Addy she never walks this road alone. Every step we take is for better technology, better treatments, and one day, a cure.
