I'm participating in 'One Walk Yeppoon' for a world without type 1 diabetes!

I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraiser this March, alongside my family. Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

For me, this fight is personal. My husband has lived with T1D for almost 20 years, and I’ve seen the challenges and fears it brings over our 10 years together. My children are at higher risk of developing T1D (1 in 17 chance) compared to the general population (1 in 200 chance) and I want a future where they never have to face this disease.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
