Walk for a cure
I have been supporting Fundraisers for a cure for Type 1 diabetes since 1996 when my Nanna passed away. She had Type 1 diabetes and how it affected her, she had a few diabetic turns and even had a toe amputated as it got gangrene. I know a few families who have children that have been diagnosed - Grace, Rory, Penny and recently Toby and tere are more. Their life changes dramatically and it can be difficult to manage. I would love to see type one become type none. Help out by making a small donation, every little bit helps ... Thank youI'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Canberra!
I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at Rond Terrace this March!
Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
Please support my walk today.
