Living with Type 1 Diabetes
As someone who has lived with T1D since i was 2 supporting JDRF is something i have always and will always support without them and without Diabetes NSW us diabetes would struggle their continued research is only getting us closer to a cure, I am now 26 with a beautiful 2.5 year old daughter and if it wasn’t for my parents and my diabetes team growing up, cheering me on and giving me all of the support iv ever needed i honestly dont think id be here today.I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Port Macquarie!
I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at Westport Park this March!Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
