I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Redlands!
On the 22nd of February, my little cousin Kyan was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the emergency room. It turned out he was struggling two viruses and was diagnosed with T1D. His blood sugar was way too high, and he was having difficulties breathing and complaining of stomach pains and was moved to ICU.
Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
