I'm walking for a world without type one diabetes

I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Adelaide!

Darcy and I are lacing up (well… I’m lacing up — Darcy is bravely dusting off his sneakers for their annual outing) to take part in the world’s largest Type 1 Diabetes fundraising walk this March at Wigley Reserve.

We’re walking to help raise $1.1 million for life-changing Type 1 Diabetes research, with the ultimate goal of turning type 1 into type NONE.

Type 1 Diabetes doesn’t discriminate — it can strike anyone, at any time. In Australia alone, 8 people are diagnosed every day. A diagnosis means a 24/7 job with no days off, involving an extra 180 decisions every single day just to stay safe and healthy.

This walk means a lot to us because we both live with Type 1 Diabetes. We know firsthand that it’s a condition that never switches off — it’s there 24/7, shaping everyday decisions, routines, and challenges that most people never see. We’re walking not just for ourselves, but for everyone living with T1D now and for a future where managing it is easier, safer, and hopefully no longer necessary at all.

If you’re able to, please support our walk and help make a real difference. We’re so grateful for your support x
