4 years

Me and my family went out to all you can eat sushi for my 4 years diaversary. I ate 10 plates worth!

Then we had carrot cake and I blew out a candle - it’s nice to feel supported by my family.

Sometimes people think type 1s can’t eat whatever we want. It’s more like I can’t not think about what I’m eating like everyone else. I have to calculate the carbs in the meal then put those carbs in my pump. It tells me how many units I should give - it’s called bolusing. If the food has a high amount of sugar in it, it can cause me to go high which sucks! I can get a really sore stomach when I’m high.

4years with T1D

On the 28th of January Joey would’ve been living with T1D for 4 years. It has been nothing short of a roller coaster.

Joe and Mum will be walk/running together prior to the 4km Rosebud walk because just like T1D it is easier when you have the support of family and friends.

We ask that you support us in any way possible. Thank you

I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Rosebud!

I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at Rosebud Foreshore Playground this March!

Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

Please support my walk today.
