I'm walking for a world without type one diabetes

Almost 17 years with Type 1

I am focoisingon my health and fitness. I am less insulin resistant now it is amazing
I got diagnosed in 2009, My Pa, who is one of my biggest inspirations, who was a chemist saw the signs. Mum, Dad and all my family had been a huge support
You can do anything with type 1, keep determined, strong, happy.
It isn’t all sunshine and rainbows i will say that, you can turn something bad into good. think positive always ❤️✨

I'm walking for awarness of type 1 diabetes in and research Newcastle!

I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at Rhodes Foreshore Park this March!

Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

It is about mindset and determination to keep showing up, being there for you

I’ve been type 1 for almost 17 years  i remember the day I got diagnosed

We can do anything if we put our mind to it

Please support my walk today.
