I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes!

This month I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event!

I do this fundraising walk every year for my sister Toni, my niece Leilah, and my friends Lauren and David, who all live with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Unlike Type 2 (adult onset) Diabetes, Type 1 cannot be controlled by diet or lifestyle, and there is no cure. A T1D diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions every day of your life to remain safe and healthy.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it EVERY SINGLE DAY. Our goal is to help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately a CURE!
