We have been blown away by the generosity, love and support shown to our amazing type 1 warrior. 
She has more than tripled her goal and raised lots of awareness about type 1 diabetes and what that means for her daily life.

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity shown these last 2 months. Thank you to you all for every single donation.
Kennedy is number one in Cairns, number 5 in Queensland and currently number 32 in Australia! It’s been a massive effort but absolutely worth it. 
What you don’t know is that at the same time she’s been doing jobs around the house to raise money for caritas for school, finding things to buy to donate to a class donation basket and even using some of her own money to sponsor a cousin in a walk for cancer! All while making sure we do our 8000 steps a day, learning several dance routines and volunteering to bake more goodies. It’s been busy but amazing. Thank you 💙

Woohoo we did it!!

Thank you everyone for your amazing support!!  Kennedy is blown away by everyone’s generosity and the fact that she is number one fundraiser for Cairns and in top 5 in Queensland !! 
She still has more to go- a bake sale at school and 2 separate Easter raffles.

Exciting News 🥳

Team Kennedy has some very exciting news- not only is Kennedy number 5 fundraiser in Qld but our team is in top 30 in Australia!! Thank you everyone for making that happen. 

To celebrate our beautiful friends at Distil on the Hill have donated one of their amazing bottles of gin which we are going to raffle off as well as doing a very last minute Easter egg basket raffle filled with goodies and treats. Tickets will be $2 ea or 3 for $5.00 going on sale tomorrow to mark the start of our 248000 step challenge!!

Hi Everyone, did you know on Monday 23rd February that Breakthrough T1D will match your donation? So if you donate $5.00 they’ll match it!

Yay! So excited to be doing this again for a great cause. Hopefully one day we can say we helped find a cure for diabetes! 

I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Cairns!

Hi Everyone,

I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at the Fred Moule Pavilion, Cairns Showgrounds, this March 8th! 

Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and it hasn’t been easy. It also means my Mum and Dad face an extra 180 decisions a day to help keep me safe and healthy.

I hope one day I can say that I used to have diabetes. I would love a cure so I can do the things I used to without having to think about everything that goes with Type 1 Diabetes.
