From Type 1 to None: The Fight for a Diabetes-Free Future

From Type 1 Diabetes to None: A Future Worth Fighting For

Living with Type 1 Diabetes means living with constant decisions. Every day involves checking blood sugar levels, counting carbohydrates, calculating insulin doses, and thinking ahead to prevent highs or lows. It is a condition that never takes a break.

For people with Type 1 Diabetes, this routine becomes part of everyday life. It builds strength, resilience, and responsibility at a young age. But it also brings challenges that many people without diabetes never see.

Imagine a future where someone could go from Type 1 Diabetes to none.

That idea might sound impossible right now, but researchers around the world are working every day to make it a reality. Scientists are exploring treatments like beta cell replacement, stem cell therapies, immune system therapies, and advanced technologies that could one day remove the need for insulin injections.

Organizations, doctors, and researchers are pushing toward one goal: a cure.

For people living with Type 1 Diabetes, hope is powerful. Every research breakthrough, every clinical trial, and every new technology brings the world one step closer to a life without constant blood sugar management.

Going from Type 1 Diabetes to none would mean freedom from finger pricks, insulin pumps, and the constant calculations that fill each day. It would mean sleeping through the night without worrying about low blood sugars. It would mean parents worrying less about their children’s safety.

Most importantly, it would mean a healthier and simpler life for millions of people.

Until that day comes, the Type 1 community continues to support each other, raise awareness, and push for progress. Every fundraiser, every research grant, and every voice sharing their story helps move the world closer to a cure.

The journey from Type 1 Diabetes to none may not be here yet—but it is a future worth fighting for.

I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Melbourne!

I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at South Beach Reserve this March!

Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
