I’m raising funds to help find a cure for diabetes, this means more to me than words can truly express. It’s deeply personal, because it’s something my daughter Evelyn lives with every single day.
I am endlessly proud of her. She faces challenges most people never see, yet refuses to let diabetes define or limit her. Her strength and determination inspire me constantly — from walking the Kokoda Trail to working as a nurse and achieving so much more.
Evelyn, you show me every day what resilience looks like. Thank you for being such an incredible inspiration.

I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Ballarat!
I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at Federation University this March!
Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
