My T1D Story

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my fundraising page.

As some of you may know I have been battling Type 1 Diabetes for 11 years this year. It has been a long and difficult mental and physical challenge which has put me through many ups and downs. I was only 8 years old when my family and I received my diagnosis which really put a twist in all of our lives.

Living with Type 1 Diabetes really affects my everyday life in even the smallest of ways. Some days are a lot harder than others but I have the most amazing friends and family who have done nothing but support me and cheer me on through all my achievements.

If you could share my page or donate towards this fundraiser it would mean the absolute world to me as this is something I am very passionate about spreading awareness and raising funds for.

I'm walking for a world without Type 1 Diabetes in Port Macquarie!

I'm joining the world's largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at Westport Park this March!

Why? To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research, and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed with it every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break, and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

I have Type 1 Diabetes myself and have been battling this life long challenge for 10 years now.
