I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Penrith!
When my daughter was just 7 years old, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She’s now 15 (almost 16), and it’s been a 24/7 fight every single day since.
There are no days off from Type 1 diabetes. Every day brings constant monitoring, injections, and around 180 extra decisions just to stay safe and healthy.
This March I’m taking part in the world’s largest Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) fundraising walk for families at Tench Reserve, Nepean River.
I’m walking to help raise money for life-changing research, with the hope that one day Type 1 can become Type NONE.
In Australia, 8 people are diagnosed with T1D every single day. It can happen to anyone, at any time.
Watching your child live with this is incredibly hard, and to live without Type 1 diabetes would mean EVERYTHING to families like ours.
If you’re able to support my walk, I would truly appreciate it. Every donation, big or small. $1 even helps bring us one step closer 💙💙💙💙
