I'm walking for Aria

So grateful!

I am beyond grateful for everyone who has donated so far I honestly didn’t think I’d reach the $500 but it’s been done in less than 24hr ❤️

Thank you so much for all the support and love.

Arias Fight

Our Beautiful Little Ari Girl 💙

Our beautiful little Ari girl was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in August last year at just 1 year old. She presented to Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and spent 3 days in ICU.

In the days leading up to her diagnosis she began showing the classic signs excessive thirst, constantly full nappies, lethargy, and sleeping much more than usual. As parents we knew something wasn’t right… but T1D was never something we would have imagined.

Type 1 diabetes can happen to anyone at any time  even babies.

We want to raise awareness of the early warning signs so other families can seek help sooner and potentially avoid a life threatening DKA diagnosis. We also hope that one day routine testing at birth may help detect T1D risk earlier so families like ours might never have to experience those terrifying days in ICU.

We’re Taking Action

This March on Sunday the 29th we’re joining the world’s largest T1D fundraising event for families at South Beach Reserve in St Kilda

Why?
To help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research  and ultimately turn type 1 into type NONE.

T1D means a 24/7 fight with no breaks It means an extra 180 decisions every single day just to stay safe and healthy In Australia 8 people are diagnosed every day.

Please support our walk and help us move closer to a world without type 1 diabetes.

Every donation, every share, and every conversation helps. 💙
