I'm walking for a world without type 1 diabetes in Townsville!
My grandson was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and it’s changed our family’s world in ways we never expected.
That’s why I’m joining the world’s largest Type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event for families at The Parade Ground this March.
I’m walking to help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research- and to be part of the movement turning type 1 into type NONE.
T1D can strike anyone, at any time. Every day, 8 Australians are diagnosed. For those living with it, it’s a 24/7 balancing act with no days off and around 180 extra decisions every single day just to stay safe and healthy.
This walk is for my grandson, and for every family facing this journey.
