Every step I take is for Macy - For awareness today and a cure tomorrow.
Macy is strength, sunshine and courage wrapped into one incredible little human. Her life, like so many others, was forever changed by a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes - a condition that can strike anyone, at any time.
Type 1 means no days off. It’s a 24/7 job filled with finger pricks, insulin, alarms and around 180 extra decisions every single day, just to stay safe and well.
And yet Macy rises - with resilience, bravery and a smile that lights up every room.
This March, I’m joining the world’s largest Type 1 Diabetes fundraising walk at Sweeney Reserve to help raise $1.1 million for life-changing T1D research - research that brings us closer to a future where Type 1 becomes Type NONE.
We’re walking for Macy. For her future. For every family living this fight daily.
